A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will invest $750,000 into Woody Point’s foreshore upgrade, ensuring the site can continue to host major community events well into the future.
Labor Candidate for Petrie, Emma Comer, welcomed Senator for Queensland, Anthony Chisholm and Labor Senate Candidate, Corinne Mulholland to the foreshore today to announce the election commitment.
The boost in funding would help deliver the upgrades outlined in the City of Morten Bay’s Master Plan for the precinct, spanning from Bicentennial Park to the Woody Point Jetty.
Upgrade features include the design and construction of essential infrastructure to transform this area into a premier outdoor event precinct for the city of Moreton Bay.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
